General statements
We deem it important that your personal data is handled with the utmost care. We ensure that all personal data is processed and secured carefully. In our processing we adhere to the requirements set out in the General Data Protection Regulation. In this statement we explain which personal data we collect and the purpose for which we use it.
Security
We are committed to protecting the website / webstore from misuse and unauthorised access to personal data, for example by making use of SSL secured connections. It is your responsibility to protect the equipment you use to visit our website / webstore, for example with a virus scanner.
Personal data
By making use of our website / webstore you leave certain information with us. This may be personal data — data that can be directly or indirectly traced back to you. We only store and use personally identifiable information you provide directly, or of which it is clear that it is supplied by you for our processing. We use personal data only for the specific purposes for which it has been acquired.
Webstore
When you order products in our webstore, we process personal data such as your name, address, shoe size and payment or bank details, in order to fulfil your order. For fiscal reasons we retain this data for a period of seven (7) years. If you choose to pay in instalments or to pay later, we ask for your date of birth and may provide this information to companies we hire to perform a credit check. When you purchase products in our webstore, we subscribe you to our newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time.
Newsletter
By subscribing to our newsletter you provide personal data that we will only use to send you our newsletter by e-mail. You may unsubscribe at any time using the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter itself. Upon unsubscription, your personal data relating to the newsletter is deleted immediately.
We also process newsletter data for statistical purposes to obtain general insights (such as demographic insights), and to build a profile to determine preferences (which links you click, on which device you read the newsletter and when). The basis for building a profile is ROYAUMS's legitimate interest in providing better tailor-made content. We do not process more data than is strictly necessary for this purpose and your fundamental rights and freedoms are not violated. If you unsubscribe, your profile and its information are deleted.
Contact form
When you complete our contact form, the data you provide is used to handle your request. It is stored for as long as necessary to handle the request and afterwards is archived for an administratively reasonable period.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by our website. Cookies are used to make the website function properly, to remember preferences, and for analytical and marketing purposes. You can refuse cookies through your browser settings; please note that some parts of the website may then not function correctly.
Third parties
We share personal data only with parties that help us operate our business — including payment providers, shipping carriers, IT and hosting providers and analytics tools — and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their service. These parties may not use the data for their own purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time. Requests can be sent to service@royaums.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
